Marilyn Monroe is one of those celebrities whose popularity continues to grow long after her demise. Why? It's simple. Marilyn was an icon of beauty, adventure and had an unparalleled energy that enamored the world. But who was the real Marilyn Monroe?

The real Marilyn Monroe was born on June 1, 1926. In Numerology, this birth date works out to be a "7" which describes the life path of Marilyn. A "7" life path is one of the hardest life paths assigned to an individual. The "7", or spiritual life path, is full of challenges that must be met on a consistent basis. This became evident for Marilyn during childhood with a difficult life of foster homes and orphanages. Marilyn may have appeared to "have it all" but deep down she was a sad human being looking for love and awareness.

When Norma Jeane Mortenson decided to change her name to Marilyn Monroe, borrowing her grandmothers last name, she carried a "1" vibration which led her life path on somewhat of a roller coaster ride. A "1" vibration brings about many changes and challenges in life, particularly bringing new people, places and things into one's environment.

As "Marilyn", which calculates to an "11", she withheld her intuitive side and she also carried her "8" vibration forward in "Monroe" which gave her that saucy, and lovingly sarcastic personality.
